Sønderjylland Elite Speedway wins in Vojens over GSK Liga 44 – 40. Grand Prix driver Anders Thomsen crashed in heat 12, and drove after a check in the rider's yard to Odense Hospital. Thomsen already had pain in his shoulder from his crash against Slangerup - and it was also the one he took care of on the way down to the equestrian yard.
It is the young boys for the Southern Jutland who can take a large part of the credit for tonight's victory. The young D driver Jesper Knudsen was the top scorer with 12+1 points, followed by Benjamin Basso with 11+1 points and Mads Hansen with 9+1 points.
Anders Thomsen collected 8+3 points after four heats, where he then retired in his fifth heat. The experienced Nicolai Klindt had a bad day at the "office" and picked up 1 point in three heats, where he then had to watch from the sidelines after Jesper Knudsen was replaced. Klindt had settled into the paddock, but was forced to ride in heat 13 after Thomsen's crash. Klindt got 3 points, and got the points needed for the southerners to win.
The away team's A-driver Kenneth Bjerre was the only driver from Grindsted who stood out with his 12+1 points. However, it was a mediocre performance all round, which kept the away team in the game until the final two heats.
