Norway will make their FIM Speedway of Nations debut at Vojens on Thursday after Slovakia pulled out of the competition.
Slovakia declared they are unable to field a team in Semi-Final 2 after Speedway GP rider Martin Vaculik suffered a broken shoulder blade.
It would have been Slovakia's FIM SON debut, but instead that opportunity has been given to Norway, who feature in the country's biggest international meeting of the 21st century.
The Norwegian class of 2022 is led by Glenn Moi at No. 1, with Espen Sola at No. 2. Young gun Lasse Frederiksen completes the team at No. 3 reserve spot.
Apart from FIM Speedway World Cup qualifying round appearances in 2001 and 2010, Norway has not competed in the modern World Team Championships.
But the country finished third in the very first FIM World Pairs Championship held at the German track Kempten in 1968, as well as taking bronze in the 1991 event in Poznan, Poland.
