With our captain Anders Thomsen's formidable WC Grand Prix victory in Gorzow recently, the WC speedway came back into the consciousness of Danish sports fans. It was the first Danish victory in 3 years and proved that Anders Thomsen is one of the world's very best speedway drivers.
That Anders also has a big X factor and press coverage was emphasized when he took an honor round shortly after the victory - wearing a broken shoulder and underpants.
These were pictures that went all over the world.

With this victory and Leon Madsen's immediate 2nd place in the WC position, a fantastic party night is planned with the Danish WC Grand Prix - sponsored by ECCO, on Saturday 10 September at Vojens Speedway Center.
The World Cup series is halfway, and only Cardiff and Wroclaw are missing before the world elite occupy Denmark.
The top six qualify directly for next year, but wisely Anders Thomsen has also advanced to the annual Grand Prix Challenge in Glasgow, where there are also three World Cup places in play for 2023.
