A number of the country's top speedway stars come into action when Vojens Speedway Center on Wednesday evening at 19.00 welcomes the audience to the one semifinal in the new cup tournament Metal Speedway League 4. Profiles like Kenneth Bjerre, Niels Kr. Iversen, Mikkel Michelsen, and the reigning Danish champion Anders Thomsen are fighting for two places in the final in June.

It can hardly be more unpredictable.
Four teams for two places for the cup final on Wednesday 16 June. At first glance, it seems that SES - Sønderjylland Elite Speedway could benefit from a home track at the national speedway arena, but the team lacks the strong German Kai Huckenbeck who is still struggling with the aftermath of the injury a month ago in Brovst.
At the same time, it must be remembered that SES received a regular slap in the face from North Zealand's Slangerup in the league match on 5 May in Vojens.
Therefore, many fans will have a good eye for Slangerup.
The same applies to GSK Grindsted who have surprised positively in the Metal Speedway League. Kenneth Bjerre, Nikolai Busk, and especially Frenchman David Bellego have shown high class, and the young Patrick Hansen, with the victory in this spring's Danish World Cup qualification, and the hard-fought place in this year's European Championship series, has had his real breakthrough.
Esbjerg Vikings has opened the season with four defeats in the league. It is definitely not everyday food for the traditional club. But with the veterans - and former Danish team world champions, Niels Kr. Iversen and Bjarne Pedersen in the lead, the turning point for Esbjerg may well come on Wednesday night. At the same time, it will be interesting to experience German Kevin Wölbert and the young shooting star Mathias Nielsen. If they also deliver the goods, Esbjerg can snatch one of the two final places.
20 heats await, and every single one of them becomes a thrill.
Simultaneously with the showdown at Vojens Speedway Center, Holsted runs from kl. 18.30 at home against Fjelsted, Nordjyske Elite Speedway and Region Varde.
The team that scores the most points in the semifinals will host the final on 16 June.
The Danish Metal Speedway League continues on 30 June.
