It is about much more than crowns and ears, when Broager Sparekasse wants to support the speedway sport which - together with ice hockey - has given Vojens a central place in the consciousness of most sports-interested Danes.
- We were well received when we opened our branch in Vojens in August 2019. From the very beginning, it has been our clear intention to provide support for local activities, cultural life and sports. We see it as a holistic view, where we must make each other stronger in the local community through presence and trust, says Morten Vestergaard, who is deputy director of Broager Sparekasse.
Jacob Olsen from Speed1way also makes no secret of the importance of the new sponsorship, which provides a welcome financial boost in a period where sporting activities are hampered by corona restrictions. But Sparekassen's basic values, orderliness and winning mentality also fit perfectly into the new collaboration.
- I see many coincidences between the values we have in SES - Sønderjylland Elite Speedway and Vojens Speedway Klub. We probably want to deliver breathtaking entertainment, but in the long term it is about creating growth and networks for the benefit of the whole of Southern Jutland, says Jacob Olsen.
Broager Sparekasse has existed since 1845. Sparekassen annually supports local initiatives with more than DKK 2.5 million and thus also SønderjyskE in football, handball and ice hockey.
