The 21-year-old B-driver Mads Hansen has in his new German club Landshut Devils, which drives in the Polish 1st division, got a terrific start to the season. In Hansen's first race, he scored 10 points against drivers like Kenneth Bjerre and Matej Zagar. The Landshut Devils won the race 47-43.
Yesterday Mads Hansen drove once again for the Landshut Devils, this time the result did not end in the German club's favor against Polish Rybnik. 53-37 ended the result - a tough afternoon for the Landshut Devils. The positive from the race is that Mads Hansen became the top scorer for the away team with 11 points in 6 heats. A great performance on a hard day.
SES debutant runs well in the UK
New 20-year-old SES driver Benjamin Basso has started the season well in the UK. Basso has run two races in the Best SGB Premiership for the Peterborough Panthers. Both races have been against the Ipswich Witches - one race at home and the other away. Both races Peterborough has won.
Benjamin Basso started the first race at home by picking up a full 12 points. On the road, it was 8 points for the Dane. A great start to the season for Basso.
One would think that the start of the season could not be much better, for a 20-year-old kid. But Basso made his debut for the Glasgow Tigers in Scotland, and here no opponent came before the Dane crossed the finish line throughout the race. That turned into a full 10 points.
On Wednesday, Mads Hansen and Benjamin Basso will look forward to a strong Holsted Tigers visiting Vojens. The race starts at 19:00. You can buy tickets here.
