Leon Madsen's chances of becoming world champion narrowed tonight after Bartosz Zmarzlik increased the lead to the Dane in the overall standings. But with great driving and a third place, Leon won the Danish hearts.

It was a delighted Leon Madsen, who thanked him and the other two Danes for the great support from the thousands of fans who had turned up at the Vojens Speedway Center.

Mikkel Michelsen and Rasmus Jensen both managed to get into the semi-finals, but did not progress to the final, despite their strong efforts in Vojens.

Englishman Robert Lambert was second after a tough drive with Zmarzlik in the final, where the Englishman won the start but was put in place by the double world champion. Polish compatriot Patryk Dudek came last in the final heat.
