With a narrow 43-41 victory, SES -Sønderjylland Elite Speedway ensured that this year's DM Superfinal, on Wednesday 15 September, will be run at Vojens Speedway Center.
Audiences and viewers on TV2 Sport had a wonderful speedway evening, with sunshine, good race, top excitement and surprises. Holsted - led by Nicki Pedersen - started with a 5-1 victory, but then the match wavered back and forth. For most of the match, it was a draw between the two top teams in the Metal Speedway League.
SES was largely kept in the heat by the two young South Jutlanders Mads Hansen and Jesper Knudsen, while German Kai Huckenbeck had problems with his one machine. The decision only fell in the last heat, where it previously stood 40-38 to SES. Therefore, a heat victory and three points were enough for the double Danish champion Anders Thomsen to secure the SES victory, against Nicki Pedersen and Rasmus Jensen who scored 2 and 1 points.
Anders Thomsen 14
Mads Hansen 11
Hans Andersen 8
Jesper Knudsen 7 (Today's Metal Fighter)
Kai Huckenbeck 3
SES runs again in 14 days at home against Region Varde.
