Fall of the Kings - DVD

In the mid-1970s, the young, Jutland speedway drivers Hans Nielsen and Erik Gundersen travel to England to chase the dream of becoming world champions like the idol Ole Olsen. But it soon becomes clear that there is only room for one on the throne. The story of Danish speedway's heyday is about a close bond between three men, who eventually change from friendship to icy rivalry - carried by their ambition to become the best and win gold for Denmark.

The Fall of the Kings not only depicts a highly dramatic piece of Danish history, but is also an entertaining reunion with the era in which the drama takes place: the 1970s and the 80s. The three main characters all star in the film, which also features never-before-released footage.
