The 20-year-old U21 national team driver Mads Hansen has renewed his agreement with SES - Sønderjylland Elite Speedway, and thus hopes to become an important piece for the team that enters the Metal Speedway League next season.
It looked promising in the early spring of 2020. Mads Hansen impressed in the French league - had contracts in place in Polish Opole and Swedish Vestervik - and not least, Hansen was ready to occupy Vojens Speedway Center as part of SES - Sønderjylland Elite Speedway.
Then came a certain pandemic, and turned upside down on the Danish and international speedway.
But apart from the Metal Speedway League, Mads Hansen still got reasonably busy for Vestervik and Opole. It also became the U21 Team WC silver, and a nice 5th place at the individual U21 WC.
- In light of the Corona situation, I had a good season, and have chosen to continue next year in all three clubs, Opole, Vestervik and SES - Sønderjylland Elite Speedway. In reality, Mads Hansen was also the favorite to become the Danish U21 driver at this year's Speedway of Nations, together with Leon Madsen and Anders Thomsen. That place was snatched by the only 17-year-old Marcus Birkemose with several startling results and DM bronze.
