SPEEDWAY STARS IN GLASS

& #8211; A puck is not a moped, or the nickname of Niels Kr. Iversen. Not when talking about ice hockey. On Wednesday evening, the upcoming Metal Speedway League team from Vojens visited Frøs Arena, where SønderjyskE played top scores against the Northern Jews from Frederikshavn.

At this year's European Championships and the World Grand Prix, head coach Mario Simioni and several ice hockey players from SønderjyskE Vojens Speedway Center visited to experience the nerve-wracking and razor-sharp duels on the slag. That is why the first day of assembly for the upcoming speedway league team ended with a visit to Frøs Arena, for a game of strokes and balance skating.

The only one from the speedway team who had never before watched an ice hockey match was team leader Ib Pedersen, despite the fact that he was raised in Esbjerg, where ice hockey also plays a big role.

& #8211; No. I was always busy with the speedway, smiled Ib Pedersen.

Both team captain Hans Andersen, Anders Thomsen and Marcus Birkemose have seen ice hockey in Odense on several occasions. At the same time, Mads Hansen and Jonas Knudsen are big fans of SønderjyskE, and see as many ice hockey events as possible when the winter break in speedway sets in.

Also involved in the ice hockey match was the upcoming team manager assistant Claus Ørts, Jacob Olsen, Helge Frimodt Pedersen and Ib Søby.

Wednesday started with an orientation meeting in the Ole Olsen Lounge at Vojens Speedway Center, where proportions and action plans for the coming months were presented. After that, the staff visited the small speedway course, where the Jutland championship was held in 50cc before driving to the VIP area in Frøs Arena.

The evening offered a pleasant get-together and meeting with many representatives from SønderjyskE's supporter club. Pictures were taken and autographs were written before the final part of the match was attended by JBR Agency's sponsor lounge, entrepreneur and textile importer Jan B. Rasmussen.

Incidentally, the home team lost 1-3 to Frederikshavn, but it did not put any damper on an enjoyable evening. The season in Danish ice hockey is long and SønderjyskE has about 40 matches left in the basic series!
