On Wednesday evening, Vojens Speedway Center offers a new, and probably close and nerve-wracking, showdown between SES - Sønderjylland Elite Speedway and Slangerup Speedway Klub. It is also a summit with two of the country's Grand Prix stars, Anders Thomsen and Mikkel Michelsen.

After seven rounds in the Speedway League, SES tops the table with 15 points, while the North Zealanders are currently in 4th place with 8 points.
But when the helmets come on and the throttle is turned to the bottom on Wednesday night, the drivers forget all about the position, and rush out onto the track with the dream of victory.
The respect for Slangerup is great in the SES management.
- In my eyes, Slangerup Speedway Klub is one of the favorites for this year's DM title in the Speedway League. We saw the Zealanders in the final last year, where after a bad start they showed a strong team spirit and fought for bronze medals, says Jacob Olsen, director of SES - Sønderjylland Elite Speedway
- Of course, bronze is not something you collect in Slangerup when you have several championships and silver medals at home in the clubhouse, but in reality Slangerup has almost always been in the medal race, always been in the top of the best Danish league.
- And always been a competent opponent.
