Leon Madsen wins the European Championship round again

09/07/2020

The Danish World Cup silver winner from 2019 is flying. On Wednesday night, Leon Madsen repeated the feat from Saturday's victory in the opening race of this year's European Championship series, by winning the 2nd round in Polish Bydgoszcz.

With this, the Dane also took first place in the European Championships.

The series, which also applies for a place in next year's World Cup series, will take place in July in Poland, and after tonight's showdown, three rounds are missing in Gniezno, Rybnik and Torun.

Wednesday's race in Bydgoszcz offered a rare double Danish triumph, as the defending European champion Mikkel Michelsen finished in 2nd place, ahead of Russian Grigory Laguta.

The triple world champion Nicki Pedersen did not reach the final, while the series' fourth Dane, Michael Jepsen Jensen, finished as number 13.
