The successful team leader Ib Pedersen says no to the role of assistant team leader for SES - Sønderjylland Elite Speedway.
- I must admit that I can not really see myself in the constellation that the management of SES wants for the coming season, where I was to assist Claus Ørts, says Ib Pedersen, and refers to a meeting in September, where it was clear, that the SES management brought a castling between Claus Ørts and Ib Pedersen on the field.
- In a debut season, where SES won the Danish Championship silver and the cup tournament, I had looked forward to continuing at Vojens Speedway Center, but am now looking for other paths in the speedway sport, says Ib Pedersen.
- It is understandable that Ib Pedersen does not want to play 2nd violin, and I thank him heartily for his great efforts for SES, says director Jacob Olsen, and continues:
- We want a generational change in the team leader position, and that was the background for the castling between Ib Pedersen and Claus Ørts, says Jacob Olsen and emphasizes that the castling has nothing to do with last year's distinguished season.
As a new assistant, Claus Ørts and SES have entered into an agreement with Peder Bøndergaard from Holstebro. Bøndergaard himself has driven both 80cc and 500cc, just as he was involved a few years ago in an attempt to rebuild the elite speedway in Holstebro, precisely together with Claus Ørts.
